I have a 1944 D4-2T. How would I go about adding a PTO to my unit?

Hardest part is finding an original PTO

I have a unit that is for a D2. I do not know if it is the same as for a “4”. It has a belt pulley on it. Recently added a Hyster D2N unit to the 4U series D2. It is certainly available for sale. Don 270 993 1191

The photo appears like you have the upper mounting brackets for a winch. Dont toss those extra brackets, since they will help if you ever mount rippers. The transmission case is not strong enough to mount rippers directly to it. If you dont plan on rippers then maybe someone will buy them rather than having to make their own. Just my 2 cents worth. Grant.

Wally might have a D4 pto for you. I'll message him and see if he has. It might need some refurb but there's not much to them other than bearings, seals, and gears. They're generally never not in good operational condition.

A photo of one here in Oz on my early RD4, plus a unit I bought off a D4 6U years ago that came with a belt pulley.

I'm hoping I will be able to use a lot of the parts from my '50 d4-7u such as the hitch. Also, someone cut the frame and removed the blade. So it can't push anything and it can't pull anything so essentially its a five ton golf cart. I'm hoping to find a way to mount the blade from the 7u to the 2t.

Are you looking for a belt pto, a shaft pto, or the shaft/ belt convertible style
