Hi Everyone!

Before it gets cold & rainy, there’s two more things Jess needs some help… all the equipment
has to go back into the barns, and the belts have to come out of the harvesters. :help:

Most of the equipment has already been put away, but there are some stragglers left to wrangle. Most
important, however, are the combine belts. All those craftsmen who know how to get those machines running will be saved a lot of work in 2014 if the belts are removed now and stored securely. No experience necessary – it’s way easier to get them out than in (but I’m not making any promises!)

We’ll be starting around 8:00am on Saturday, September 10. Hopefully we’ll see you there!

Sue

Hi, Sue.
You know I'd love to help but the commuting is a bit of a problem. I hope there is a good turn-out of people to get all this equipment put away until the next playday

I did help put Don Hunter's little jigger to bed down in Paso Robles before I left to come home if that counts.

I would like to thank all those who helped my recent puddle-jump VERY enjoyable. It was a pleasure working with Jess and his family, Sue, Chuck and all the others at the Wallace Ranch preparing for the Best Show Harvest Spectacular. Thanks also to Chris Brummet for the guided tour of the Joplin tornado damage and the various vintage machinery collections around his area and to Tom Madden for putting me in touch with Chris.

Thanks also to all those at the three shows that I attended who came up and made themselves known to me. It was great to be able to put faces to names. I guess I was a little easier to see than most folks at those shows too. (Those who saw me will know what this is about.)

Last but far from least, thanks to all those who exhibited at these shows. Without all of you and your machines, there just ain't any shows. A special thank you to all the people involved with the mule team at Woodland. These folks worked like trojans to get the mules working as a team and kept their senses of humor in spite of all the people around them.

(You can have your thread back now, Sue. And it was a pleasure meeting and working with you too.)

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
