Unknown Oil Bath Air Cleaner, Caterpillar?

Pulled this off of a PV Fifteen I recently purchased. Does anybody know what this came off of originally? My apologies if its off of something other than the subject of this forum. Its in good condition other than being filthy. Rough dimensions are 12-1/2" tall x 7" diameter x 2-1/2" diameter connection.

that looks very simalar to any old land rover series (two and three from the 1970 s) air cleaner

You beat me to it keloz - that was my initial reaction too. Those slots at top are very reminiscent of the one in Dad's Series I

yes that is an oil bath from a land Rover series 2.25 liter gasoline or diesel. not sure it has the correct CFM for your application.

D46U straight blade,D46U cat angle blade,allis chalmers AD4 grader and Khoering 404 dragline. D4C 40A,D4 2T and scraper.

I think it would flow enough air when i was young a had a sick love affair with the pommy product had 4 cyl and factory built 6 cyl and pretty sure they had same air cleaner. in oz and most likely nz (neil will know ) it was common to fit holden red motors made them much better i fitted 186 and 202 s to mine

Thanks guys! Now that I'm thinking about it, the guy I bought my Fifteen from did have some old Land Rovers around. Never would have thought by the looks of this setup that it was from an automotive application. :doh:

i wouldn't exactly call Land Rover "automotive":doh:
