My buddy has a D4-7U / HT4 and the steering clutch levers don't sit even with each other. As far as we can tell, this is due to the wear in the linkages, pins, bearings, etc. for the linkage that goes rearward, not the linkage that actuates the clutches. But I wanted to ask the forum if there is any compensation/adjustment that we can make given that wear? All the adjusters we've found are usable and we've adjusted the clutches (and brakes) so they work as expected, it's just that the levers aren't even. Obviously not a show-stopper, but you know....
What I'd also like to know is why there is what seems to be an overly-complicated set of levers and bearings and such controlling that rearward motion when all that might really be needed is a backstop adjuster bolt, just like they have for the forward motion

Hi, Neil.
The wear that you describe could be due to one operator being on it for a long time and preferring to turn one way to load trucks or do whatever other work.

There may some adjustment in the linkages to cater for that.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
