I usually recommend sending pumps, injectors,fuel transfer pumps and gauges by USPP Flat Rate. Usually a medium size box will hold any of these items. It's three day delivery and $50.00 insurance.
So far this year a man sent me 4 D2 injectors and when it arrived all I got was an empty box. I found him 4 injectors at a cost of $200.00
Recently I rebuilt a RD 7 fuel transfer pump and the customer recieved an empty box. They are still looking for it but we don't have much faith that they will find it. We think they have Baboons handling the freight and they practice their Bowling. I had the box taped with regular shipping tape, wraped all corners, taped around box all ways and they still sent the pump right thru the side of box and thru the tape.
That's what you call FORCE!!
I would suggest buying a few hundred dollars worth of insurance and I will do the same on your return shipment. I feel that it will still be less expensive than UPS or FEDX Their prices are based on weight and destination. You also have to buy their carton. With the postal system, I store small and medium size cartons and I can count on what to charge for freight. Good luck in shipping. Bill Walter

If you really want to get it or ship it send it UPS or FEDX. Helps if you put a real box inside those flimsy flat rate boxes if you use the postal system but that doesn't help when they loose the whole thing. Very unreliable service.

I second that. I NEVER ship USPS if it matters. I prefer Fedx only because they are more convenient for me.

I have noticed the Fedx online calculator is almost always low when estimating the shipping price.

USPS lost and expansive item I shipped to a friend once. They had a record they did not deliver it but ( shock!) they had no record of which employee took it home.
