I need an air filter for my Twenty Two. I have the bottom part, but not the top.
It's the one shaped like a dome, not the one with the jar on the side.
Any ideas?

Early ones have a smaller diameter can. Inlet is in different spot in hood also.
Which do you have?
I have a early 22 missing the bottom cup only.
I picked up a complete later 22 air cleaner before I realized they are different, so I have a spare.
Still looking for the early bottom.

Attached is the D2 5J out for a spin.

Here are two pictures of the base of the filter. I thought this was the older, smaller style that doesn't use the jar.
I would appreciate it if anyone knows where I can get the correct upper section.

That looks like an alien precleaner if I'm mistaken please correct.
I was thinking you were missing part of the oil bath air cleaner below the hood.

There were three types of tops for the 22 air cleaner.

Post your serial number and I will post the part number for you.

For the part try Jim Zimmerman @641-982-4207.

Power Giant posted the correct part number for the air cleaner top for yor machine.

It look like you only need the cap and the screen. The cone assembly appears to be all there.

Cap part number is 9B88803.

Screen part number is 9B8801.

The bolt on top is part number 2F7252.

Just an FYI. The SP in your serial number indicates special parts installed on your machine at the factory

Good luck.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
