That’s wonderful Casey! I genuinely feel for those folks that lost their homes, possessions and loved ones as well. The shelters throughout the NorthState have be overwhelmed with donations. Some of us are accumulating more goodies to send the victims, but we are waiting a bit, as the outpouring of generosity has been more than expected. Some places were pleading with the public to stop being “so nice”, as they had run out of room to store/distribute.
Paradise and the surrounding areas will rebuild, but it is going to be a long and slow process.
I’m expecting wet weather here. I hope we don’t get forced out due to flooding or good old Oroville Dam!
Wonder if shipping containers would make good temporary housing and storage for people left with nothing? better than tents.
After such an incredible tragedy, it’s wonderful to see such kindness and support. I can’t imagine going into the winter with a burned out place, there will be lots of folks struggling for awhile I’m afraid.
