Team,

After much sole searching I decided to sell My D2, I hated to see it go but because of financial reasons I had to thin out my toy collection. She went to a good home, a fellow street rodder I've known for years. I expect he will carry on the restoration I started and I encouraged him to join ACMOC.
That being said I just would like to thank everyone for all the help, hints and moral support I've received from my friends here on the forum. Most of you I've never met, yet you welcomed me into the fold patiently answering sometimes less then intelligent questions. Without it I certainly could never have got her running as well as she did. Everyone that heard her run remarked on how smooth she sounded!
We are planning to relocate to the Harrisburgh PA area next year and at that time I plan on finding another chunk of Yellow iron to start on. In the mean time I plan on continuing my ACMOC membership so I can keep track of all you nuts with "yellow fever"

Thanks to all

God Bless

Regards Dennie

Hey now, Don't be a stranger.

Sorry you had yo let your D2 go. I had to sell my '38 3J back in '98 so I know what it's like. Glad that I have another one again to play with now. The nice thing about D2's is there are plenty more of them around for when you decide to get back into it.

Keep in touch,👋

Sorry to see you leave NY Dennie, although Harrisburg's not far away. If you want to avoid transporting that pony electric start and pto/pulley for the D2 to PA, let me know and I'll swing by : )
Cheers,
Neil.

Dennie, you'll be that much closer to Rough and Tumble. Don't know if you've been there, but worth going to their shows.

BTW, what chainsaws do you have? GWH

GWH, Once we get down there the R&T is an event I plan to go to, The only antique chainsaw I have left is an old Homelite C51 direct drive, 24 inch bar with a 3/8's chain, manual oiler. a real man's saw my dad bought when I was a teenager (Not exactly sure when he bought it but I believe about 50 years ago!) I cut a lot of wood with it in the 60's, it still runs but I haven't used it in years, I have 2 Stihls, a 310, a 390 and Mcculugh (sp) trim saw that work faster and are lighter. I still cut 4 triaxle truck loads of wood for my own use (about 60 face cord)

Hi Dennie,
Sorry to hear you sold your D2. We have had some good conversations while I was "resto"ing my D2. Like the others here have said "Don't be a stranger" and do come around and chat with us often.
Have a good evening......Bill

Hey Dennie, Don't just disappear like the previous previous owner did.

someone may get the idea that the D2 has some kind of bad carma or something.

Rough & Tumble should become your new hang out... along with your next piece of yellow iron.

Bill, we can plan on that! our plan is to relocate near our youngest daughter in the Harrisburg area. Cats @ R&T and streetrods @ Carlile, doesn't get any better then that! We're trying to get our house all spruced up to put on the market in the spring. Hopefully it will sell quickly , we do not want to maintain two homes nor can we afford two mortgages.
