Hello, The Steam and Gas Threshing Show I belong to has a Sixty that needs some work. It starts and runs just fine but it needs assorted parts. It has been sitting in a shed for the past 20 plus years and gets pulled out and drivin maybe every 3rd or 4th year during the show. We are thinking of selling it to raise some money to repair some other equipment. I will be leaving for the show next week for 11 days. When I am there I will be getting more info on it and some pictures. Where are the serial numbers stamped on the Sixty?

The serial number appears on the brass data plate, the right front frame rail and on the flywheel (sometimes twice on the flywheel).

Don't put much faith in that list posted above- not very accurate.

so what is not accurate? i would like for it to be very accurate.
I am not tring to be smart or claim to know it all, but I am compiling as much info as possible. I put those links up to the pages made so that someone as yourself can review them and hopefuly discover a problem so that it can be corrected. I would like to encourage anyone to help make the info very accurate so that the future generation of ACMOC members will have a very accurate source of information.

A couple of additional notes:

The serial number that is easiest to find is on the right front of the engine block just below the # 1 cylinder casting.

I have seen at least three styles of ID tags - one on the left side seat base, a different style on the right rear fender and another on the rear main casting above the drawbar.

I have not discussed the location of the serial number on the page that was posted on the Sixty's. I did cover that information on the Best page because there has been some question about the differance in royality numbers and tractor numbers. So I am still wanting to know to what paticular info on the sixty page that you call inaccuate. I am only asking so that it can be corrected.

Dadawg,
Which threshing show are you referring too? We are always looking for new shows to see in this area. Especially those with construction equipment.

The show is the Lake of the Woods Steam and Gas Show. It is between Baudette and Warroad. Nine miles north of a little town called Roosevelt. Its a small show buy very hands on. Mostly farm and logging, not much construction. We have 5 full size steam traction engines, about sixty gas and diesel tractors. Steam powered saw mill, Blacksmith shop, Stationary and hit and miss engines, thrashing, Antique tractor pulls. On site primative camping.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
