I purchased a D4 in Farwell Mi. and shipped it to San Diego! I used Kris at http://www.loademup.net/ It was a total of 2355 miles and cost $2600, which included being delivered on a trailer with ramps which ran a little extra.
The D4 arrived minus the hood, muffler and lights, which I blame on the seller rather than the shipper. Just be sure that the seller of your Cat makes sure everything is securely bolted down.
Hope that helps...good luck!

I too had good luck with "load em up" trucking moving a John Deere 450C from Pennsylvania to Florida. On time, on price, no damage.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
