I would like some input into the tooling used to remove a precom chamber from a D311 genset ser#4V7141. It appears to
have an external spline on the outer retaining nut which holds the injector into the chamber. Can't find any reference to tooling
used to remove the injector with this setup.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Attached is a pic of the setup.

Takes a 1H5656 glow plug wrench (or a deep socket will work) to get the glow plug out of the way.
Then a 2H7479 or 8S2243 splined socket to remove the retainer.
Then a 5F8353 splined wrench to remove the chamber.

Yes OM, my mistake. Should have been 8S2243. I have only used this wrench for fuel pumps. I never realised it was also used
for precom retainer nuts.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
