Does any one now or can find out what year a RD7 9G4546 was built and are there still parts around for them. Just bought one at a auction sale. Pony motor turns but main diesel is tight. not sure how bad but if I could get a gasket kit and liners rings and pistons then I would for sure do a engine overhaul.

Thanks Jason.

Once I get it home I'll post some pictures.

Liners are around. Piston are around as well but not in great numbers. Head gasket should be available from Finning. Most of the gaskets you will have to make. It is basically a D8 engine less 2 cylinders.

Next step is to try to get every thing loose and moving.

Thanks for the info

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
