What a beauty Pete! What will be it's first show do you think? (So we can look at it in person : )
Looks like it took awhile, but the results are spectacular1 One my all time favorite tractors any of the 3 cyl. group. Kudos!
Breathtaking...gorgeous...spectacular...awesome...!!!
Truly a masterpiece!!!
How long did the process take start to finish? What was the level of difficulty, if any?
Myself and others would love to be able to restore something and have the end result close to yours.
Well done. JM
Amen, What a tractor! And Toby is the best too.

Great job Pete on your restoration! You can be proud of the finished product. You will have to modify your handle now to "D8/RD6Pete."

Very well done! looks like it was just delivered from the Cat dealer from back in the day!
Outstanding restoration, well done, I bet there were a few skun knuckles and head scratches along that journey, that would be a great story for the ACMOC mag.

Congratulations-beautiful work.
Have fun,
Bernie
Thank you all for the kind words. But before anyone else gives me too much credit I must note that I did not rebuild any parts of the diesel engine. It ran fairly well when I got it. The rest of the tractor - pony engine, radiator, fuel tank, clutch, transmission, brakes, differential, final drives, undercarriage, and tracks all received moderate to extensive amounts of work. Being that most of the shows are cancelled this year I am still hopeful that I can take it to a couple informal shows/gatherings and give it a work out. I want to make any necessary adjustments and work out any bugs that might develop. I'll put some thought into writing an article about it for the magazine.
