Hi, Folks.

Here izza link to a You Tube video of an RC Cat D11N dozer at work on a coal overburden stockpile, courtesy of Phil Gowenlock of Brisbane, DowNunda. Phil now has quite a collection of these 'home-made' models, including a 'Kummagutsa' D475, a Russian T800 - D11 sized but NO threat - and an A-C HD41.

Deas, a bit of an update here. The Russian CHTZ T-800 (D11 size machine) I built has been decommissioned. Like the 1:1, I could not get it to work satisfactorily. Those long tank-type fixed track frames presented as many problems in a model as they did in the 1:1 and after a number of unsuccessful rebuilds it was relieved of all the useful working parts and I returned the mechanical nightmare to its maker, the electric arc furnace. I have not built a D475A, that machine you see in the back of the D11N video is a D455A that I built. That was the largest production crawler tractor when it was released in 76 but it was quickly dispensed with when the D10 arrived on the market. I also built a D575A-2, an HD-41 as you mentioned and a Fiat-Allis 41B along with the most recent 74Z series Cat D11N. All are 1/16th scale radio controlled full working models. Thanks for your interest and putting up the D11N video link for the Caterpillar fraternity. After years of being unable to log on the Forum since 2018 I registered again on the new website here today without issue. Cheers
