? Punch marks on 2 Ton Cyl head

Does anyone know what the reason for these punch marks are for on the bottom of the cyl head

They are in the same location on all 4 cly and cant come up with any reason that someone would put them there

Trying to prevent the head gasket blowing out in that area?

Was thinking that but don’t think that would help with the copper gasket
