some one else may have a better answer but just measuring the two side by side I believe they would interchange. Seems like i remember the bolt holes in the pads being different so you would have to use the d4 rails. I may be wrong but i have pondered the same idea before being how my Thirty has worn out pads (and some one put them on backwards)
Thanks for that yelloiron, the bolt pattern on the plates are differant so yeah i am chasing a complete set, chains and pads, need 18 inch ones though for my wide 30.
Hello, The rails and pad bolt hole centers are 1/4 inch wider on a D-4. 30 rails/pads will not interchange with D-4 rails/pads. You can put D-4 rails and pads on a 30, but they are 1/4 inch wider, which gives you more side to side movement on the sprockets and front idlers. I have a 30 with D-4 tracks on it, and they tend to want to walk off alot. Caterpillarman
Thanks for that info caterpillarman. I think that i have d4 pads and rails on my thirty:mmph: I'm gonna go break out the tapemeasure tomorrow and confirm cause it jump the rails off the bottom rollers easily if you adjust the track properly. We've got them over tightened a hair and they dont jump off.
Yep, thats exactaly what my 30 does. I dont reccomend using D-4 rails on a 30. Caterpillarman
