I have a running 22 that I would like to sell but don't know what a reasonable asking price would be. Does anyone have any thoughts about what a ballpark figure might be, I'm thinking around $2,000.00 maybe?
Thanks,
Randy

Randy:

Can you post pictures and the serial number so we can better advise you of its value. There are lots of variables that help to determine value and pictures do tell a thousand words.

Thanks for the reply Tom, the serial number is 2F 7875 SP. It has what I guess is called the orchard or tail seat and has a wider track than my other tractor. The reason I don't use it anymore is that it wont turn right with the disc attached, it turns okay by itself. Thanks again for any thoughts you might have about its value.

Randy:

That is a fairly nice orchard 22 that is a wide gauge. The tracks are adjusted out as far as they will go and it looks like the sprockets have lots of wear on them. I am not sure of your description on the ability to turn--you may need to adjust your brakes or they may be worn out. I think your idea of value is not far off base. That would be a good place to start with someone who wants a fairly presentable nice original 22 right out of the field.

Are those foot pedals ( BRAKES ) home made. They don't look cast but steel instead? Nice machine

Thanks for the replies guys. Tom, I think that the turning problem is from the left steering clutch slipping. When I go to turn right with the disc attached, the left track quits driving but without the load of the disc, it turns okay.
Jason, I think you're right about the foot pedals, it was that way when my father bought the tractor years ago and I never paid them any attention. I just went and looked and they are definitely made from steel and welded together. Dang you guys got good eyes.😖mile:

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
