It appears that the number of postings has dropped greatly.
Is this because of difficulties or are the interests dropping?
"our" beloved Caterpillar runs like a champion until something goes "haywire". Then we find the problem and apply the "fix".
Are you having issues with the website? What are they?

I haven't been on in a long time until yesterday. That was my first time using the new site. Posting pictures is a pain, even after resizing them. Other than that, it seems fine.

CTS, I think a little of both and this last down grade is the problem.I talked to a few on here and they said they were done with ACMOC.
I'm about done too, Make ACMOC great again
I'm about done as well!!! This latest revision is a disaster. I'm going to give it a break and maybe check in later after all the bugs are out....maybe. Never seen such an amateur operation. Yah it's volunteers ya da ya da.
I still have to log in every day, which is making me cross, I haven't bothered uploading photo's yet, sounds like that is a real challenge that I don't need, so I doubt I will bother trying, and following a thread over days and weeks that runs to several pages, and finding the new posts on that thread, is not easy and smooth.
As an old ACMOC member and online forum user with hundreds, or even thousands of threads and or posts over the years, this new site is worse in my humble opinion. I understand why it happened, for better backroom efficiency, but this new system is turning me off.
After the loss of most our Chapters Stateside, which I still can't get my head around, why that actually was allowed to happen, it seems that instead of getting our ducks in a line, we have fired a couple of shells into our foot instead.
Respectfully as usual, Mike Meyer, ACMOC financial member since around 2002.
Where are the instructions for positing pics? I have looked everywhere. I just tried by clicking the icon and all that shows up is the icon.
Brian, I know of no instructions - see the "picture" below, the highlighted icon brings the picture for me. I would check file type, size as starters. Choose File from your directory (i use desktop) and Insert. Hope this helps.

I found that i can set my computer or phone to autofill the login so that takes the bother out of having to log in every time. A recent issue trying to post picture i found that the problem i was having was my pics were just to large of a file. I'm not real savy with computer tech but i solved the phot problem by sending myself a text with the photo i wanted to post and then just forward from that file. I'm sure there is a better way to do it though! I'm not terribly social so not having a chapter close isn't a problem for me. I have noticed though that there doesn't seem to be much interest on the forums.

Sorry everyone having issues, like Old Magnet says, blame the volunteers! Still a work in progress.. re the US Chapters, Mike, that had to happen, the Club was too exposed the way they were set up. Just needed some modifications but the will wasn’t there it seemed.. It was all tried to be explained but guys don’t like change and to be told what to do.. Make ACMOC great again, would be a good plan but without worker bees for organising things it’s tough! Any volunteers? Plenty to be done.. I‘ve enjoyed my time working for the Club, been rewarding while newly retired, nice bunch of people in the background, just not enough of them! There’s loads to be positive about, loads happening for the 100th at shows in Oz and the UK, Chapter 15 killing it in CA. The Earthmoving Legacy show in September is probably the upcoming highlight in the US. Get involved! Reform Chapters wherever you are, still loads of like minded individuals loving the yellow iron, we‘ve all got that in common. Saving the world, one machine at a time!

Oh and membership is up!!
One point of interest in the new website setup that I think was absent on the old format is the tally of views and replies on each discussion thread. There are substantially more silent observers than active replies, so there must be some interest in the subject matter. Personally, I read quite a lot but unless I think I have a solid contribution to a discussion I remain a silent observer. Also, perhaps the volume of discussion has seasonal variation as people from different parts of the world only have select periods of the year when free time allows them to tackle projects, which in turn generates questions and discussion, I know I fall into this category.
