Cat 22 that seen better days. It at one time had a homemade cable blade on it.
Check out the part # on the belt pulley though. Its special edition!😄 😮
The tractor is suprisingly straight considering its as busted up as it is. The left track frame is broke and been welded in 10 places that i can see! Some one really like burning welding rod around this one.

I've seen a lot of worn-out stuff in 40 years, but that wear pattern on that pulley is about the coolest....😎

Yeah, that pulley is cool enough to hang on the wall. Call it a "conversation piece".😄

Are the remains of the part numbers that were cast into the pulley casting the shadows?

This old Cat had a home made blade on it in the past. In bull dozing burning stump/slash piles, it is a common practice to install a reverse fan blade that pushes rather than pulls. The reverse blade keeps the smoke, flames and dirt out of the radiator and away from the operator. I have seen several Cat fan blades that the pitch of the blades can be quickly reversed with the twist of a spanner wrench.

Hi Team,
at a glance that appears to be a standard fan put on backwards---they are not very efficient pumpers like this and doing this has been found to be the cause of many overheat problems.
BUT! you make do with what ya got to get the job done and try and overcome trash buildup in the core (and operators eyes) in the application cited above.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
