In the pictures I haven't installed the second safety strut I made for both sides. I made the struts out of 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 X 1/2 inch angle iron welded to a 1/2 X 3 inch plate. Then bolted them to the frame with 5/8 grade 8 bolts and nuts. The support on the front of the machine is 3 X 3 X 1/4 tubing supported by the oak blocks. For future reference I raised the front end about 48 inches and the radiator is just about a 1/2 inch away from the Letourneau blade support. The oil pump will just clear out of the bottom of the block which will then allow you to remove the oil pan.
Thanks
Jim

Good job. Sturdy cribbing and good safety supports. Close clearances overcome. Thanks for posting this. You have a very nice and clean shop.

Good job Jim! Glad you were able to get it lifted up enough to get the pump out. Thanks for posting pictures.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
