Hello, I have to remove the oil pan on my RD7. Can I jack up the front of the tractor to get it off the main spring to take the pan off or do I have to remove the main spring all together? If I can jack it up how high do I need to go to clear the oil pump? This engine has the oil pump that drives off the camshaft and can't be removed until the pan is off. Any other tips are appreciated
Thanks
Jim.

Jim, what I like to do it loosen the pan bolts. Put a jack stand on the front of the pan. Raise the front of the tractor leaving the pan down. You will need to raise it up a good 30 degrees or so. Block it up and make it secure for safety obviously. Pull the front pickup tube and then drop the pump down into the pan. Be safe and over chain the lift and over block things on the bottom to protect man and machine. You can pull the pan out as needed. Leave it blocked up as needed. It really opens up the bottom of a machine this way. Rear main will be above the spring, but accessable.

Thanks WyoCat for replying to my post. I will give it a try.
