Finally got around to looking into the pinion for the starting motor on our new to us grader.

Does not look good. We do have a D4400 engine with a good assemble, do any of the parts interchange between the D4400 and D4600?

How does the engagement assemble come out? Right now there is no way to get the lever to move and I fear that the shaft is bent. Looking into the bell housing it appears to be in bad shape.

This is the same parts as the earlier 1938-45 model 12 graders , does anyone have parts?

Some parts for the drive end do interchange between the D4400 and D4600
Shaft 1F3753 does
Sleeves do not (D4600 is larger)
Pinion 6B1360 does
Latches do
Button does
The stop, plunger and springs do

The starter pinion control on the 8T is like that on the D4. Have to access from the clutch side.

Thank you for the help. We will finish getting it apart. From there I can start ordering parts from Hector.
