I have a 3116 Cat in a military duece and a half. Does anyone know the proper procedure for turning up the power a bit on this 170 HP model? I don't want to go crazy, but 50 to 100 HP extra would be nice.
This is the newest Cat I have and the one I understand the least.

Don't even try it, thats only a 6.6 litre engine and the fuel settings are done by adjusting the unit injector/pumps individually to match each other, with the proper tooling. get it just a bit wrong and you will have a blown engine on your hands. Only buy the genuine fuel filters as well, these engines don't like dirty diesel and those unit injetcor pumps are very expensive. Its a good engine when treated properly.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
