need 7upullers help on old D4

Glen, you seem like the one to ask when it comes to Cats from your area and any history, so here it is
I have this D4 that I bought a year ago from Middletown CA. the seller represented it as belonging to Howard Peterson on his Diamond D ranch. I didn't buy it because of any back story or history, I bought it because it was a good deal, direct start, had a blade, and something to work on with my dad. The lowbed driver did pick it up at the address of the Diamond D ranch in Middletown. That is all I know. It did get burned a bit in that terrible fire that destroyed part of the town. I don't doubt the guys story but would love to find out more. Thank you Robert

Howard's grandson, Duane, confirmed that he spent a lot of time up at the Diamond D. He doesn't remember the canopy, but that could have been added afterwards. You have a piece of history...
