MT 50 voltage

is there any way to tell what voltage a used mt 50 starter is?
I have done some searching and found them in 12v 24v 36v 48v and I think 60v.
how can I tell the voltage of mine?

If it is a Delco Remy unit it should have a six, seven or eight digit part number tag or stamped number to identify it.

Bart... is this the one you got from me? Look between the mounting holes on the solenoid, voltage should be stamped there. If not, I have the cables that were on it. I might be able to figure out the battery configuation from them. Ed

yes it is that one, I have it hooked up 12V and it spins the D69U very nicely. I started it Saturday morning at about 30 degrees F and it fired right up. I still need to get the alternator conversion and need to know if it is 12V 0r 24V

P.S. to look at it is another 200 mile trip, and of course when I get there I only want to hunt Elk and shoot mallards and Canadian geese. and of course work gets in the way of that.

Thanks ED I was at the ranch yesterday and it is 12 volts.
