Hello everybody. I am continuing to put the D2 back together this afternoon and have had a few successes.

I have now encountered a small problem that i hope the good acmoc folk can help with.

Could someone please advise if there is a gasket to go between the bell-housing and the main block. or if this is to be bolted straight metal on metal. I have a dry clutch will replace the water seal that was leaking in there.

If there is a gasket could someone also advise the part number.

Thanks in advance. The questions might come thick and fast over the next day or so.

Hi Steve,
the faces bolt up mtal to metal. Be sure to lightly draw file the faces to remove rust, dirt, burrs etc. Check the threads for integrity. Re-coil/heli-coil any suspect ones.

Also the faces should be oil free for best clamping friction. Lightly oil or grease the bolt threads for future removal.
Cheers,
Eddie B.
