I'm working on converting my D2 to a direct electric start and I came across this pump. Would it mount between the tank and the transfer pump?

I just got one of those myself (from Tornado parts, Medina.Ohio) to experiment with but haven't got around to messing with it yet. They are a very common pump for the engines after the "U" models. The one thing I would want to incorporate is that it take suction from at least primary filtered fuel so I have selected a primary filter to use where I can tap in this pump. The other thing I'm a little concerned about is that this pump is a very low volume output compared to the ones used on the D311/D315/D318 engines so it may take a lot of pumping to get the job done.

Thanks OM. I had already added a filter/water sep between the tank and the transfer pump back when I got the D2 12 years ago. What size fittings does this pump have on it?

All ya need to do is switch the compression lever to start and easily turn the engine over to prime the system.
