Finally getting around to removing a stuck engine from the HT4 I purchased several years ago. One item not covered in the manuals is lifting the engine over the saddle mounting studs. Is it possible to back these studs out, or should I assume they are a sacrificial part and cut them once the block is raised slightly? I have already raise the rear of the tractor to allow the engine and transmission assembly to be able to rotate past the saddle, but the studs remain at an angle opposed to the vertical lift.

Studs should be removable although access is probably going to be a problem.
