Given the denial of nominations, what procedure is in place to insure the membership will get an accurate count of the votes? There will be a lot of write in votes.
It may seem like overkill to ask this question, but a competent answer would help restore credibility and reduce some of the tension.

Hi Don,

Tricia will count the votes. She may ask Jenny or Kathy to help her. Ballots will be date stamped when they arrive at the office and retained in the event someone wants to examine them. She will report the results to the board and get them included in the magazine.

This is the normal procedure for counting votes.

Regards,
Lee

Don that question is pretty rich coming from you. I never have thought the ACMOC election process was proper. We usaully have just a couple hundred members with enough intrest in the BoD to even vote. But awhile back we had a specail election to vote to move or legal status from Oregon to Peroria (Something that Cat Inc wanted) and some how with the 2 fox Mr EX Cat Inc Bernie Smith and Mr Cat Inc Kent Bates gaurding the henhouse we had around 1000 voting on the move to Peroria. I never could figure out why so many members caremore about whos state rules we were under then who ran the show and spent our money the whole thing stunk. You and you only called me an ass for even thinking something in our voteing process was shady. And now that the shoe is on the othr foot you question the process. the very same process you defended a few short yrs ago. So now you are the ass for acusing the BoD members of being crownies and sugjesting they may cheat in the ballot counting. You had your chance and didnt like the way our pres was doing things so you quit so your crys for help fall on deaf ears here.

Hi Willie,

One question, if I may. How exactly is ACMOC affiliated to Cat Inc. and what control/guidelines does it exercise over the way the club is run?

tia for clarification

We are a licencee of Caterpillar. As such, we have to conform to many rules and policies of the company regarding licencees. All of our products and publications along with containers and envelopes are submitted to and reviewed by Caterpillar before they can be produced.

Without the license from Caterpillar, we would not be able to market Caterpillar branded merchandise, including our scale models. This would have a devastaing impact on the club financially.

1. In the past we had a Pres. that illegally signed a Toy contract with Norscot after being rejected by the BoD and as you can see now it effected our profits bad. 2. The muesum in Peoria that they want us to be part of is a laughing joke we were allowed 3 of 9 spots on the board of it and who got the spots 1 ex cat guy and 1 present Cat guy now whos intrest do you think they are looking out for. 3. They shoved some jerk Named Bernie Smith ex Cat guy into our office with great benifits and high pay and after a week on the job he took a few weeks paid by us vacation and did not do 1 possitive thing for OUR club. 4. they had a employee of there who had access to everything we had and was give models away randomly to the Cat exects.5. We orig were givin the OK by Cat Inc to reproduce parts, litature, logos and toys for all pre 1960 Cat products our magazine is full of adds for repo parts that we should be getting a roalty from when sold for profit, thats where we should be getting our income from. And now toy production is suspended at the fault of the currant and past BoD for Making wrong models and wrong manuf. but I like that because I am no fan of the toys they have made 6 models of the orig D2 to try to save money on redesign and try to make a 22 out of it but turned up with some stupid thing that looks nothing like a real 22, they took the flagship tractor of Cat Inc and let Norscot make a cheap phony toy out of instead od letting Norscott or 1sr gear make a couple diff version of a quqlity model for the collectors it IS Cat history. The list goes on and on, That is why I'm not suporting Tom Stanesa

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
