I want to say Thanks to all that helped get the D7 going again. My timber is pushed and it work reasonably well!
That said I do have another 2 questions. I am cutting some oak trees and at best estimate the logs will weigh 5 ton. To get them out of the timber with out dragging I thought about chaining one to the dozer blade. Does anyone know how much a blade with lift with a 2 block sheave? If you can tell me that, what can a 3 block sheave lift?
of course I have another question--will the UC take that much weight? Thanks, Lex
Hi Team,
it maybe more a case of what can the equalizer spring take after several excessive loadings/jolts--just a thought.
Also to be considered is the idler end collar/hanger plates and the blocks and wear strips welded to the track frames--undercarriage could be bent and/or pieces broken with excessive loads let alone idler shaft and bearing failures carrying heavy weights any great distance--likely a few other things I have not covered.
