I'm sure this has been talked about 100 times on here but i'm fairly new to the site. I need to adjust the springs in my pinion engagement on a 1949 D25U. As soon as I turn off the compression release it kicks the pinion out. I'm pretty sure the spring setting is my problem. Any help with this and some quick instructions on the easiest way to fix my problem would be much appreciated.

It would be great to get this and others of Sasquatch's "how to" videos stored in the technical section. Direction on adjusting pinions does not get any cleaner than this.

Hi, OIH.
Maintaining access to them for as long as they are available on Youtube is easy - just post the link by copying and pasting. That will last for as long as that video clip stays in the same place on Youtube - which may be quite a while or it may be gone tomorrow. Who knows. There are a couple more there that I think would be an asset if posted in the tech. library, as I have done with the video clip on working on DD CCUs.

A more permanent resource would be to record them and store them in our tech library. That may be something that would have to go through the BoD - and then through the whole process of being set up in the web site itself.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi Deas,
You so elequantly stated exactly what I was trying to sputter out. Copied to a permanent place with in the ACMOC that does not depend on the future of U-Tube.

Hi, OIH.
I would NOT have described your post as 'sputtering'. IMHO, all I really did was outline the current situation in regard to posting links to off-site information and - hopefully - a possible future improvement on the existing situation.

There is a LOTTTTT of work to be done on getting the technical library to where it is a REAL resource for members, and for visitors - who, hopefully, WILL become members when they find what they are looking for.

If you would like to do something to help this along, may I suggest that you PM B4D2, make him aware of this thread and also of the desire/NEED for more permanent storage and access for this information.
