All your team work at the Best of the West Show remind me of something Henry David Thoreau once wrote:
"The weapons with which we have gained our most important victories, which should be handed down as heirlooms from father to son (don't forget daughters) are not the sword and the lance, but the bushwhack, the turf-cutter, the spade, and the bog hoe, rusted with the blood of many a meadow, and begrimed with the dust of many a hard-fought field." It was heart warming to see you at your task with smiles and in good spirits. Hi, CalAgMuseum.
As JM said, well said and thanks for sharing. The machines may BE the show but it is the people that/who/which MAKE the show with their efforts, their joys - and their heartaches - their shared experiences, their questions, their answers and their wonders at seeing so many old machines still doing what they did so many years ago.
Glad you could make it and thank you for your comments and your photos.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
