Squatch,
Excellent idea to present our club to your followers! We are all concerned with exactly what you have stated and that we have to develop support wherever we can find it. I pretty much enjoy your videos but am not a listed "follower." Hopefully there are others like me who will follow through and perhaps join the national club. I can't thank you enough.

Hi, Squatch.
GOOD stuff. Good story and a GREAT pitch for the club. Thanks for all that you for the club and the Cat restoration movement.
So the Chapter 3 boys snuck one in under your guard, huh? Good for them.
Just my 0.02.
Thank you for reaching out to your followers Toby! Such a great presentation on the merits of joining ACMOC that I almost signed up. Oh wait a minute, I’m already a member...LOL. I will remember to renew my membership though. Joining the club and being involved has had MANY rewards, and looking forward to more fun. I am also thankful that another member (you, Toby) has been trying to recruit new folks. Wishing you great success in doing so. JM

Hey Deas,
Not much sneaking on this one. This came as a direct result of Chapter 3 helping to wake the sleeping 1H D8 snowplow that the nearby historic museum has. One of the members whom is a member of the threshing show also called me and told me about them asking if we would be interested. I drove up to look at them, then contacted the Chapter 3 president. An on the spot executive decision was made that we should get them if possible. These machines were owned by a member of the show many years ago. He had sold them to another member whom moved away in poor health a number of years later. Both previous owners have now been long deceased and the club gained recently gained ownership of them and drug them out of the woods to try to find them a good home. A call was made to the president of the thresheree association and a agreement for a purchase by Chapter 3 for $1.00 was agreed on. Their goal, aligning with ours is to preserve and educate, not crush and scrap. We do have to wait for there next meeting for them to make it official. There is no doubt there are some major challenges here but now that Chapter 3s Model 11 grader is functioning well we are ready for a new project. We will keep you posted.

The 30 project just died. This past Wednesday evening the Harvest Festival's president called me and said they had made it official the evening before to sell the 30s to Chapter 3 for a dollar. We made arraignments to meet yesterday evening to pay up and get a gate key so we could recover them. Yesterday morning I got a call and found out that a person had called the club yesterday AM and was upset that they had moved his machines and were getting rid of them. He said he bought them years ago. We all agreed that it was not a issue we wanted to get involved in so the deal is dead. We will find another project. We know of 2 17,000 powerplants that may be available for us to restore one. we will see.
