So I got my late Christmas present delivered today! Took a few minutes, but I got the hang of it. I even backed it into the machine shed without taking out the building. Here's some pics. πŸ˜†

Nice looking photos. I see you you have a tool box on the right fender. You should have a tool compartment under the seat also.

Hello rflegal,

Congrats.! on your new arrival is it a boy or gal? Ha Ha. Anyway, it looks like fun and I like how a snow can really make the tracks cleanup and shine. Good luck with the new toy. I don't mind abit about the stove pics. for I am a fellow wood burner myself. I like a good wood stove. Keep warm.

Looks like a very nice unmolested 6U that you just bought. This could not only be a good work horse on your property for you, but it could also become a nice show piece to take to the Caterpillar shows in your area. Congratulations. πŸ‘‹

In my yard, getting one that already runs is considered cheatingπŸ˜† But nice going, looks like a good one

πŸ˜† I've already got too many project vehicles, she's gotta earn her keep for now. But I can see some TLC and restoration in her future. I've got parts books and an operators manual off ebay. As soon as I have the time, I would like to change fluids, etc. Where's the best place to get an oil filter element, anyway? I'm sure somewhere there's a thread about oil (synth vs reg, hydraulic wt, etc.) Looks like another vehicle to research.

Thanks to everyone here, this site has been a great help in providing the info I needed to make a decision to buy her. I'll be around. Thanks for the encouragement.

Bob

Bob, welcome to the group, looks like a nice machine you've got there. I've gotten all my filters for my D2 from NAPA and Advance auto.
I was stationed in Albuquerque for 5 years, ran up to Farmington with a friend and trailered down an SUV from the Toyota dealer in Farmington. pretty country! Here in the Northeast we all stay warm with wood.
Good luck, all the folks here a wealth of info!
