I’m looking for any information that might help identify the generator I’m installing on my ‘36 No. 10 auto patrol. It’s a Delco 953R and it came with a 26tooth unidentifiable gear. The engine I believe is the same as a Twenty Eight tractor. I’d like to add the generator and lights as I believe it would have had when Denver was plowing snow with it.
John
Here is a picture of a 26 tooth with part number.
And a picture from the 4G series D4 parts book showing the gear
Thank you! I’m trying to add photos but no luck

Ok so I had to post pictures one at a time but it looks like a match… 3b2770 gear. Does anyone know want the L-636 gear looks like or what a Delco 953R crosses to?
Thanks again for the help!
John
your Delco 953R crosses to a Caterpillar 1B5785.
In my No11 Auto Patrol Power Unit Parts Book the L-636 gear (21 Teeth) looks to be flat like what you have but as the illustration is front on it could be cupped--extended cone, you will have to do some measuring to see if a flat 21 tooth flat gear will align with your gear train at the mounting location with the gaskets and the spacer/adaptor in place.

Cheers,
Eddie B.
Thank you Eddie I appreciate the help!
