I've used sheets of rubberized cork for that job available from any bearing or auto shop, it come's in different widths and thickness's and is not very expensive, and is usually sold here in Australia in 1 metre lengths, that's about 39", perfect for radiators.

I used TEADIT 1.5mm rubberised non asbestos material, not cork, harder than that which reduced compression. It worked very well.

1/8" is a little thicker than would have been there originally. If you use it, be careful not to over tighten the bolts and dimple the top and bottom sheets around each hole.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
