I had one years ago. Had to stand on the Crank to start it. Can't remember the serial number off hand? It is the one in Jeff Huff's Museum. It ran for me. His guys are afraid of it and told him it won't run. LOL. I'll start it any time he wants to see it run again. It was new enough to have the gas tank to the rear and has a Heil Bulldozer Attachment. Hydraulics were slower than a turtle. I found some photos, Will post them later. Dandy Dave!

DD - schedule a visit to Jeff's, let us know, and we'll come round to share in the fun! I stored my 3J at the museum for a couple of years.

Here you are Fellows. Top photos were of it sitting in my back yard. Last Photo is me driving it during the parade of power at The Hudson Valley Old Time Power Ass. In Hudson NY. I had times when there would be a crowd of 80 to a 100 people standing around just to see me stand on the crank and start it. When I first got that old pig it was blocked along side of a building that belonged to a buddy of mine. He got it years before at the H.V.O.T.P.A. annual auction. The tractor came from the Windham Mt. Area. Dan Ryan from Prattsville NY brought it to the auction and most of just laughed at it at the time. Don Melts bought it cuz it was cheep and different. But he never did anything with it. I swapped him a Mack model BM truck for it that had issues. When I went to get it out of there the first time I started it it had a knock. One rod bearing was out of it. We found a leather belt in Don's collection of stuff and I used that for a bearing to get it out of where it was and moved. Don Williams of Lake Katrine, NY helped me pour a Babbitt bearing for it so we did get that fixed. I ran it at the show for a number of years and then My old Buddy Jake Bates gave it a ride back home for me. It was more than I wanted to restore and move around so when Jeff Huff started his Museum I thought that would be a better home for it than I could give it. So we struck up a deal and that is where it is at this time. Last time I talked with Jeff he was starting to think about getting rid of some of the stuff as age is creeping up and we can't keep this stuff forever. It is a great Museum he has there. If you get a chance, Go and see it. Thinking about it, The old 50 had a Gar-Wood Blade set up. Dandy Dave!
