It is still there. Moving it is bloody expensive wither it is one truck or two, but we are going down in mid May if it is dry enough to get to it and try push starting it. Can't get get away from work before that.

We had the truck loaded with tools and planning on heading down to the DW-20 this Sunday. Got a call today from the caretaker and they finally got dried up enough to farm and they are to far behind to spare any time or machinery to monkey around pulling the scraper. I can understand how that goes. That's farming. Will fill you in when it happens.

We started out yesterday after Mike and Red our place left traveling 100 miles south of Chicago picking up a CCU unit for my 9U and then on to Waterloo, Illinois to check out, and possibly start the DW 20 that is setting there. Looking it over it quickly became obvious that it was not going to be a today start up. The pulling tires tread are like new but after setting flat for 25 plus years they are gone. One holds air for a couple days, the other partially stayed up but are both rotted out. One pan tire goes down right away. The center exhaust manifold section that the turbo mounts to is shot. Both ends are broke completely off and rotted away where the end manifold sections go into them and the turbo to exhaust pipe end is completely rotted away. Bees and birds have the whole exhaust around the turbo and the turbo filled up with nests. The machine is straight and complete otherwise. I am going to pass on it as it is going to take multiple trips to get it ready to travel and some part chasing to do first. 900 miles is a bit far for me with the work it needs. Hope someone else can save it.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
