You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Hi, Garlic Mom.
How long ago did this DISASTER happen? I thought he was trapped in the trunk of a car heading North at a rate of knots.
That said, what you have there is what happens when you let a 'number cruncher' loose onna piece of machinery. I know that I will TRY to ed-u mack-ate him at Santa Margarita and I suspect that 7UPuller and a few other good souls will also try. How-wevver, I doubt that any of us can give any sort of solid guarantee that any knowledge that we may be able to jam in between his ears will last for much longer than the journey back to Bakersfield. Maybe you could send a good set of ear plugs over with him that we can stuff in his ears before he leaves to maybe give the knowledge time to seep into the rest of his ample body so that it is not completely lost. LOL.

Just my 0.02.
Garlic Mom , Hurry go throw some lime down to dry it out a little more then back drag it with the 450/555 in the back ground. Both will be winners , you will be happy and Pete will be impressed.Happy New Year
I think you should make him go to bed without his supper!

GM,
Given time, all of those ruts will turn into alkali dust and then they will flow together and smooth themselves out. You haven't had much rain in so long, that you probably forgot what the typical cycle is like. Rain, Mud, Sun and then Dry! Now the folks back east and north would be even more concerned because ruts like that tend to freeze this time of the year back there so the problems stays with you for the rest of the winter!
I am actually glad to see you getting some rain.
We will work some more to train you son on the finer techniques of blade operation but who knows if it will stick.

Garlics,
What's wrong with that driveway, looks like most dirt roads around these parts November through April! :violin:

I was thinking the same. Looks completely passable to me. Its in much better shape than most of our public parking lots. Although it will be fun to watch Garlic Student in class. Might be better to teach Garlic Mom and Garlic Emily the finer points of grading so that they can plumb Pete up now and then when he needs it.
Looks like my driveway before it froze too! Get a little thaw in the next day or two then I'll back drag!
In your case follow Jan's thought, It does need to dry a little first to be able to do anything too it.
Just Saying......

It has not rained here for so long, he must have thought , i have to get that blade in the dirt while it is still damp. Problem is it rained all the next day. I did the same thing on my side of the hill. I did some rough in work on 1/2 mile of road. Then i caught a cold. Then it rained for another day. My grader is waiting for me to get better and for some dry weather. My neighbors that also use the road are probably fuming.
