Don't know what machine you're thinking of but I found on Cat's online parts site that a D6c 26K tractor is a direct drive / flywheel clutch machine and it shows a decelerator in the parts listing.
The models with the ratcheting mechanism to hold the throttle position made on the governor would be hard to have a decelerator. If the locking/holding part is at the throttle lever, then it wouldn't be too hard to make the change to a decelerator work.
Now that I have a blade on my 17R D6C, I have wondered about putting one on. What all is needed to put one on? The throttle holding mechanism is at the base of the lever on the dash. Maybe get one out of a wrecking yard?
Thanks

Hi Bumpus, You did not mention the serial number of the tractor you wanted to put the pedal on. My understanding is that any tractor that was available with a powershift transmission came with a decelerator pedal, and that the decelerator pedal was an option on the direct drive(standard shift) version of the same machine.
This photo shows the factory installed decelerator pedal on my D7E 47A(direct drive) in use. 👍![]()
Hi Bumpus , like seiscat stated , the power shift models had decellerator pedals , except the D4D . On this machine it was an option . We had one in the seventies but we installed a decellerator ourselves . the Netherlands , johan7
