So the solenoid is for the A/C... This D8K was manufactured in England, sold new to Namibia and then it ended up in the north of Norway and finaly sold to Sweden.

If you want the right wiring schematic for your tractor you need Cat form SENR 2130 ,its available from Cat ,although it should be in your service manual under systems.

Whilst your friend is doing a very nice job of restoring the D8K, I note he has painted the interior of the cab yellow, all D8K tractors with cabins I saw had the cabins painted a brownish colour, not sure what it was called, also the dash lights were a red colour so as not to reflect on the glass and make night operation difficult.

Dows anyone know how many ohms the glow plugs should have?

Early Glasgow built K' the wiring diagram is often found within the Parts Book, the glow plugs draw 5 amps per plug so you should see 30 amp draw on the amp gauge showing they are all working correctly, only test the glow plugs on a low output setting battery charger, the heater rail is the same as D9. tctractors

Glow plugs should test low resistance, 1 ohm or less.
