Here's an old D8 13A that was still running on a job as of 2005. Hand clutch stick shift, and pony start.

That is a nice old machine. The 13A never had a power shift trans.till the 46A came out in 1959. The 14A was oil clutch and the 15A was a torque convertor setup in them.At the dealer there were some D8 pipe layers that come in but it seemed the D7 was more popular, or at least at our dealership.

Those old pipelayers seem to survive in remarkable condition. They never get abused and all the original guarding always seems to be there. Phil

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
