After some years standing out
Sun \ rain \ barn
And a few months in our warehouse
We try to run it

* Auxiliary engine does not move .
* After several attempts ( rotate the engine by hand not by starter)
* It turned the engine.... turns and stops....
* We removed the engine and then we found
* Magneto stuck.

Just turn ignition mechanism and stop .

Lucky we removed the engine
It is possible to see that the water caps
Rusty and leaky

Main engine does not move
For several weeks we trickling oil \ fuel Into the manifold
Yesterday it seems that the engine starts moving
I use a round crowbar on the flywheel

Problem with unsticking engines is even though you may get the pistons moving, stuck rings may never recover.....but there is always an optimistic chance, Good luck with that one.

Never know how it will run until you get it unstuck and run it enough to get it hot a few times. Here is one possible result of one being stuck and then unstuck. This engine was running and the tractor was working, but it was "huffing" out the crankcase breather,....... NO chance you might pour oil into it while it was running.......... and then it suddenly got a lot worse. This was what we found when we tore it down. Each cylinder had a mark where the rings had been stuck at one time.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

Hello everyone

After a few years we went back to work on the tractor
The engine was the whole time with rust oil
Every few months trying to rotate the motor
Yesterday I opened the engine-side service doors
And that's what I found
To be continued ....

Keep working on it Itzik! You'll get there : ) Even if the rings don't work out (and they probably won't) if you actually get it to run, no matter how badly, that will encourage you to keep going. I reckon the worse it is, the bigger the challenge, the more fun. My D2 looked like that inside

So today I decided no choice
We removed the rear cylinder head
And that's what we found
I hope that now it will be possible to rotate the motor
And the piston sleeve along with the piston may be removed
To be continued ....

OUCH! At least now you know what you are dealing with. Keep up the good work and keep us posted. The tougher the job the more satisfying the sweet sound when it finally runs will be.
