valve is 5S1218. Coolant level should be up to the plate inside tank just inside the little round hole in plate.
Is that when it cold?
Mine will not be visible in the radiator with the cap off when it’s cold. It will have puked that much out. It will be up to the top when the cap is off and then engine running warm though. And again I have never seen any bubbles.
I’m guessing that the pressure relief valve is not holding back any pressure and it just keeps letting it out.
It usually spits it out when I let off the decel pedal after a shift.
Yes when cold. Check the weep hole under the water pump and make sure its clean. Does it over heat? Check thermostats.
It does not overheat.
What does the weep hole do?
If the seal goes bad on the pump it weeps coolant out that hole instead of going in the crankcase.Get an Operation and Maintenance manual for it, 48A would be about the same. There is a drain plug on the transmission oil cooler and on the left side of the block above the starter or above starting engine block and transmission.
Get a new pressure regulator first. That is the easiest of the fixes. It never lost coolant before the leak started at the regulator.
The capacity for the low horse D7E 47A(Direct Drive) is 22 gallons. That should get you close, hopefully someone will respond with the correct figure for your low horse 160hp 75E3(48A6393 - 48A6882).

Specs for 47A. I think 48A coolant is 28 gallon.![]()
Hi DrewAbt, It looks like you definitely need the specs for D7E 48A6393 - 48A6882 because of changes in early versions.
Hi Rome K/G, I got my 22 gallon spec from my Operation and Maintenance Instructions for D7E 47A1 - UP. I attached it first along with yours. Apparently there were a bunch of changes in the early tractors. Going by the serial numbers on my page the smaller capacity is good to at least 47A3678.
