3T will have a dry clutch with a clutch brake activated when the clutch lever is pushed towards the engine.
The clutch lever will be the bottom one.
Push the bottom lever towards the engine and wait for the pinion to stop spinning before engaging the top pinion lever. Yes the pinion should stay locked in.
Hi,
Toby has kindly made these great tutorials on the pony pinion operation and repair.
Hope they help.
Cheers,
