Hey guys, I know this was asked a while back. I remember it takes a delco 50mt to replace the pony motor on a D7. I just don't remember if it is supposed to be ccw or cw. Also, what nose cone and bending do I need? Is anything else required as far as the starter concerned?
Thanks in advance. Hope to see everyone that can make it at the national show this fall. We are looking forward to it.

Rotation is clockwise.
Takes a 12 tooth RH helical starter drive.
The drive end housing is a #371-12144 sourced from www.jnelectric.com
They are a wholesaler so you might have to go through a shop or distrubutor.

Thanks OM,
Trying to get ready for the nat'l show. I don't really have the time to build the pony, so we'll save it for a later project.

Does anyone happen to have the Delco part number for this drive end housing? I can't get into JNelectric's site. I have everything else that I need to do this swap except for the end housing.
Thanks

JNElectric is out of stop on this part and has had 40 on order since July. Is there anywhere else to get this thing????? No one on ebay seems to have one. this is not a Delco part. It is aftermarket only.

That's a good price.
Did JN Electric quote a price for theirs when they have them?

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
