Has anyone run john deere 850 tracks on a d6c.

It looks like the pitch and pin size are the same. There is a difference in rail height.

Hi, bcguide.

If the rail height is higher in the JD tracks, you may need an extra link - or two. If it is lower, you may need one less - or two.

What about width between rails and outside to outside of the rails?

The width is the same.

The 850 rollers cross over to the 6 as well

Hi, bcguide.

Next question - is there any difference in the distance between center of sprocket and center of front idler? Yes, I know the idlers have adjustment but if there is much difference, it will affect the number of links needed per side, as would much difference in the diameter of the sprockets and idlers.

I don’t know anything about the measurements but I saw a D6C in a neighboring field with John Deere rails on it so it must work.

Deas

I'm not understanding. My reading comprehension must be off.

Thanks Anthony

Hi, bcguide.

If there is much difference in the distance between the sprocket and the front idler at minimum adjustment it might need either more or less links per chain to accommodate the difference.

But Anthony F seems to have settled the fact that it can be done with his post above.
