My neighbors older d6c leaks both finals into the powershift in two days, i always thought its a cross shaft issue, he also says the brakes are spongy. Local shop is telling him its the hydraulic scavenger pump causing it, makes no sense to me, but they claim it cant leak that fast in steering clutches. Any one else had this, the problem is usually over filling finals not draining.

Sounds like final drive pinion seals and bearings are shot.

There are two final drive breathers which may be blocked allowing pressure to build up as they warm up, in the steering clutch covers right at the back of the machine just inboard of the fenders. We also had a problem on the early D6C because the tubes inside the back end were not always welded properly to the casing at the top, this also allowed oil transfer but should have already been modified under a recall program.
