Discovered this old girl resting in a field for the last 3 years. Undercarriage is toast, direct drive, direct electric converted some time ago, manual tilt A-dozer...not knowing much Else about it. The lady selling says it’s a 68 or 69 but I suspect it’s a tad older. 74A1769 on the engine block and the frame. Possibly comes with a 6N hyster winch, I’ll try to get some pics today.....

Were they a fairly decent tractor? Any known problems?

The price is right and it’s close and just like all the rest of us I NEED another cat in the yard.....

Good morning sir, sorry for the inconvenience if you are so kind, could you give me some specifications of hydraulic control # 46 I have a pump that tilts some cylinders but it has no force to lift them, I found broken springs in the valve I want to know if this is the root of the problem I leave an image showing the part where the broken springs are and if you can tell me what kind of valves are there. Thank you.

What function do these spring and valves do?

Hi Team,
the springs you show are from the Main System Relief Valve. It is a Pilot operated valve--the small valve opens and causes the bigger valve to then open--to keep it simple.

These old systems work on 1000 PSI system pressure.
Adjust the system pressure by adding/removing shims from under the short cap bolt on the small valve housing/body.

From experience with new springs and using the Parts Book shim stack they normally open at close enough to 1000 PSI.

The spring for the larger valve just makes sure it closes when ever the small valve is closed and is not adjusted.
The pilot valve is used so there is no need for a very large spring on the large valve to keep it closed as these systems are low pressure and high flow and so a large sized relief valve is needed to handle the high oil flow.

Sorry, if you require P/No's, I do not have a Part Book for these units to help further.

Cheers,
Eddie B.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
