I got tired of snorting dust, coughing and feeling like hell this fall so went north to Washington (northeast of Mosses Lake) and bought this clean D4C 40A-8236 with a cab. We removed 70 acres of older almonds this after harvest last year and I wanted to grow some wheat before replanting the acreage next fall as it will dry the already dry soil out some more. This was the first time in 40 years I had been up in this part of the country and it is impressive looking at the way the folks farm in this area. My son is arranging the shipping so I will post a few photos when it arrives. My son, a close friend and I left Vina Ca. (northern central Sacramento Valley) at 02:00 on the 17th and got home at 02:00 the morning of the 19th. We stayed in Spokane on the 17th and went north as far as

When I got home I immediately sat down at went back through the "farming with steel thread" again. I have not seen any posts on this thread for a long while but it was interesting. Do 98j and NF post anymore? Tad Wicks, is he still on here?

Yep, lotta big grain farming in Eastern Wa. I also have a 40A 3638 I've been tinkering with, no nice cab like yours though.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
